take control of your life.  you are the master, not your communications devices.  turn off the beeper for emails and im&#039;s etc.  leave it on only for voice calls. {and turn that off too when you don&#039;t need to be in touch.] you can check your emails, etc when YOU want to. 

 

i learned this a long time ago, and my life has been much more pleasant ever since. {also, my wife agreed not to throw me out.]

 

it&#039;s a good way to vacation too.  tell eveyone that they need to email any messages.  then you can check them when you want. in the morning before you go out, and later in the day before you retire.
